Spoken Word Video Review (Death and Dreams)

In recent years in Nigeria, spoken word have been forcing its way into the mainstream reviving the previously forgotten and closed off mindsets to the genre, promoting the artform and giving it a platform to demonstrate its undeniable purpose.

Recently The Nigeria spoken word scene has received a massive turn out of young poets. A sign that the future of spoken word is bright in the country.


31st of January 2016 3:33pm Paul Word the poet SOS(a spoken word video too..) in a collaborative effort with Prestige (Ifeanyi Bernard) released a spoken word video.

Title: Death and Dreams
The video was Filmed and edited by Komsons Studios Crew. 
And was directed by Ayokunle Komolafe
At two locations in lagos: Anthony and Victoria Island lagos

The video started with Paul word pouring out some thought provoking meaning filled lines.
Prestige took over with thought provoking assorted Pigin lines.

The video message teaches it's viewer to live a purposeful life.
At the end of the video you may up asking yourself if you a truly living a meaningful life

It is a clean video that was nicely edited


In less than 48hours after release the video has received over 250 views on YouTube
It even gained international recognition probably the first Nigerian spoken word video to get that with two well know international spoken word poets commending the video......
